File this one under complete failure. But at least I tried!
One of my favorite artists is Lea Redmond, at Leafcutter Designs. She opened a store front and sent out a plea for pennies, to help decorate the ceiling of her store in Oakland CA. I figured that if I sent in some pennies, she’d most likely send a note or something back.
So naturally, I sent a LOT of pennies. From a LOT of my friends. Some I sent in beautiful cards with personalized notes. Some I sent in outrageous bulk quantities. Some I sent just one penny with a card with child’s handwriting.
And….. nothing. Drat. But if you are in Oakland, you should stop by Leah’s shop and tell her you are Paul Dunlap!
